We're moving Camp this morning!!! Time to say 'see ya later' to our 'neighbor'... Bob... we've really enjoyed sharing with him and having him around our camp site. We gather in a circle for a Morning Prayer after all of our gear and the 'kitchen' has been stowed away on the transport vehicles. Nicki Dodson is still with us... she joined us shortly after the Memphis Conference and has been 'camping' with Lorenda at our site. She's a good Walker... a sweet young lady... and we're enjoying having her around. Especially me... for two months.. I have had the only 'southern accent' on the WALK! I'm glad you're here!!!

C.J. is still with us and will join us today as we Walk and then make our way to the Nashville Camp Site. Trude also made it to our campsite from Kentucky. She has kept up with the Walk since the beginning via this Daily Journal. We've read her emails around our camps.. and certainly welcomed the sunblock she mailed to us a couple of weeks ago. We have also had 3 folks from Wyoming drive to our Camp to spend time with us.... Les and Lex Cowboy (Father and Son) - and Donny Wagon. Welcome to the Journey of the Sacred Hoop 2000 - All of you!!

We make our way - caravan style - down the hill from our camp and stop to fuel up the vehicles. The plan is to drive to the intersection of Highway 412 and Natchez Trace Parkway so that we can begin today's Walk at the place where the Core Team stopped walking yesterday. Leo Cowboy asks that the Walkers 'carry' his Staff of Eagle Feathers as they Walk today. The Staff is wrapped in red, yellow, black, and white - the colors of the Four Directions - the colors of the Sacred Hoop.

The Walk isn't long today...not in miles...because today the Walkers are walking 'together'...instead of the 'relay' style which allows us to cover a much greater distance. They talk and laugh as they walk up the steep hills. They take the time to check out the ripening berries on the sides of the roads. "Nope...not ready to eat yet". Soon the bears and other critters will be having a 'feast of berries'...but not quite yet. The Eagle Bone Whistle sounded many times during the Walk. We didn't see any Eagles today..but there were many Red Tail Hawks circling overhead. Song birds called out to us from the bushes and trees that cover these hills. The prayer at the end of the Walk gave Thanks to Creator for all the Beauty we are Blessed to enjoy.

We arrived at the West Nashville United Methodist Church 'almost' on time!!! Thank you - to the Church Members and to the Local Community Members - and ALL of the Volunteers .. led by Maggie Odle of Nashville for the delicious food and for the welcome that you gave to us. A special thanks to Reverend Smith for the Prayer he offered for our Journey and for the Message of Wellbriety!!! We wish all of you the very best and really appreciate all of the effort and time you devoted to cooking this feast and being with us.

I met a 'friend' I have only known on the 'computer'. Her name is April.. and she was at the Church to greet us as well...she brought both her daughters with her... They're beautiful April. It was really good to be able to meet with you in person.
