The Walk with the Sacred Hoop began on a beautiful clear day at the Southwest Museum. We began our Journey with the Blessings of the Elders and with the presence of several Eagles and Hawks who circled over the Gathering as the feathers of the Hoop moved with the breeze and the prayers of all those gathered. There was much excitement and anticipation for the purpose of this Journey... and the supporters and the core team of Walkers were sent on their way with a deep sense of purpose after viewing the silhouttes of the victims of domestic violence. The Silent Witness Program provided these life-size forms... and the tragedy of the great loss to the families of these victims renewed the dedication of all of us gathered there to the Healing of our Nations. The Walk has begun!!! We need your prayers and support to help us to remain strong in purpose and in being.
