Dumb Friends League Interactives - These educational games teach children and adults, alike, about responsible pet care. Used at the Dumb Friends League and the Greater Birmingham Humane Society, topics include animal welfare, pet care, picking the right pet for your lifestyle and helpful seasonal tips. The programs available are "Be a Pet Detective", "Find a Friend", "Tail Waggin' Tips", "The News Hound", "The Daily Scoop" and "The Match Maker Game". All of the programs are Windows-based and can be run off of the web with some minor programming.

The Gorilla Conservation Challenge - This educational turn-key touchscreen exhibit game was designed for the Denver Zoo and is part of their Primate Panorama exhibit. Through a contract with the Denver Zoo, we are able to resell this game to other not-for-profit organizations. The game is designed to empower the user to decide the fate of gorillas within Rwanda after interviewing those impacted by the politics surrounding the gorillas. This game is designed to be used with a touchscreen, but could be used with a roller ball or other pointing input device, and is Windows based.

Earth Evolution Simulator - We created this plate tectonic interactive simulator in conjunction with Cyberdyne Systems Corporation and the University of Texas. It is based on the most recent thinking surrounding plate tectonic activity. The simulator also shows the Average Global Temperature and a time scale that includes the Paleozoic, Mesozoic and Cenozoic Eras from 544 million years ago to the present. Using buttons to go forward or backward in time, plate tectonic motion is experienced by the user. The program is designed to be used with a touchscreen, but can use any form of pointing input device, and can run on either a Mac or Windows system.

Quest Adventure's - ActiveGuide created this Flash based game that allows children to explore the mysteries of the sea with a submarine from antiquity. Unravel the mysteries of Atlantis, test your knowledge about sharks, discover what lies deep within the ocean, find out that size does matter, and see if you can find creatures hidden within the reef. This entertaining game is designed to run within a touchscreen exhibit, however, it can also be run off the Internet. it is both Windows and Mac compatible.

The Natural Selection Computer Game - This award winning game was created in conjunction with Cyberdyne Systems Corporation for the Denver Museum of Nature and Science. Through a contractual agreement with the Museum, we can offer this game to other not-for-profit facilities for educational use. The game explores the process of natural selection using moths for the genetic simulation. The game starts with moths that are fast and visible, and slow and camouflaged. As the user attempts to capture moths flying on the screen, the remaining moths create new combined characteristics. In the end, the user can compare the starting moth characteristics with the final group's characteristics. This game is designed for use with a touchscreen, and is Mac and Windows based.

The Bug Basics Trivia Game - This bug trivia game was created, in conjunction with Cyberdyne Systems Corporation, to educate children (and adults) on facts about insects. The program is designed to randomly generate ten presented questions from a sample of forty. The user must answer questions correctly to help move Hairy the Spider around his web full of flies. If the user answers a question incorrectly, the fly gets away and Hairy misses a meal. This game was designed for use with a touchscreen and is Windows based.

Outcome Evaluation Reporter (OER) - ActiveGuide created this public domain program for Colorado's Alcohol and Drug Abuse Division, or ADAD. The program helps substance abuse prevention providers learn about the drug prevention field, and helps providers create, administer, and report on programs meant to evaluate drug prevention activities within a population. This program is web based, but can also run off of a local PC, and is linked to MDS-3. However, ActiveGuide can customize the program to meet your state's drug prevention needs.
